Hello and welcome to our website.

Dive Buddies is owned and actively run by Mathew and Pippa with some 30 plus years of diving accumulated between them.
​
Why call ourselves Dive Buddies? Well, quite simply everyone needs a dive buddy to dive!
​
After a weeks Diving in Greece a discussion fuelled no doubt with local beverage and a window of opportunity later, a decision was made to set up our own Dive Centre in Mallorca.

After touring the island numerous times (all in the name of research of course!)
we felt Cala D'or was the ideal location and with it only an hours drive from Palma Airport we think it's a reasonable distance to travel for even our weekend divers.

Flights take as little as 90 minutes from UK and with budget airlines offering seats from £18.00 a trip to Majorca really can cost less than you think.
With an abundance of accomodation to appeal to all tastes there really is no excuse for you to not to enjoy some fantastic warm water diving...and well, if you have experienced diving northern European waters (especially the North Sea) there really shouldn't be any hesitation!

What Makes Us Different?

We are the only British ran PADI Scuba Diving Centre in the local area.
​
We are small family run recreational dive centre and with that we are able to offer genuine quality of service and at a relaxed pace - after all we never forget you are on holiday!

Come and see the wonderful Marine life along the eastern coastline in beautiful clear waters. ​We are happy to highlight and educate on the aquatic life in the area.

We can where possible try to assist a diver with disabilities and so you can enjoy your diving experience in Majorca. Please contact us with your specific requirements.

After diving various locations around the world we have endeavoured to take the good aspects from the dive centres we have visited and incorporate it into how we run our school.
We work on the basis that if it is not good enough for us then its just not good enough.
We've travelled the world and we have found you just can't beat good old English customer care!

Mathew got his first opportunity to dive aged 15 and has never really looked back. He has over 30 years diving experience gained from all over the world. A hardened diver of UK waters he decided to swap the cold, dark north sea for the beautiful clear, warmer Mediterranean waters off the south eastern coastline of Majorca.
He has always had an avid interest in Marine and aquatic life and his knowledge is second to none.
Before he opened Dive Buddies he spent 25 years in sales back in UK and so as you can imagine he always has something to talk about!

Pippa started her career with the British Forces and then in later years started her own PA company in the North East of England.
Ensuring the smooth running of the business she is generally your first point of contact for diving enquiries, bookings and sales. Even though she has only started diving in 2016 she has managed to squeeze a fair few countries into her diving logbook!

Our eldest son

Sam began diving aged 12 whilst on holiday in the Caribbean.
He has since then gained the majority of his diving experience in the cold, hardy conditions of little more than 14 degrees in the North Sea.
He has always loved marine life and at the age of 18 he opened his very own successful Aquatic shop in England.
His knowledge of fish and marine life really is second to none.
He may even know more than Mathew but don't tell either of them that!!
